Which weather stations were used in the Great Lakes region?
Eighteen stations were selected in Michigan and the surrounding Great Lakes area for the Pileus Project analyses and model development. These stations were selected because of:
- their geographic proximity, which is near to important agricultural areas and recreation/tourism locations, and
- the length and quality of the climate records at these stations.
