Overview - slide 2

Guenther has heard through credible meteorological sources that the coming winter will be warmer than normal. The first concern that pops into Guenther’s head is how much snow will fall. Having lived in Michigan since he was a young lad, Gunther is snow saavy enough to realize that not all warm winters spell lean times for ski resorts in the area. For example, temperatures were above normal in 1972-73 and 1990-91, yet only 73 inches of snow fell in 1972-73 in contrast to 123 inches of snowfall in 1990-91.
