While the exact characteristics of regional climate change are not known, a range of probable as well as most likely characteristics can be defined. For the future climate scenarios in SkiTool, the probabilities of occurrence and exceedence come from 48 different model and downscaling combinations. The example below illustrates that 14 of the 48 future climate scenarios project a 16% decrease in seasonal snowfall as being most likely.
